A character design project from an October 2021 Art-Prompt Challenge hosted by instagram artist, Resaa.art, where participating artists created illustrations based off of Vintage-Art Nouveau themed word prompts within the month of October.
I interpreted the art prompts as Historical Edwardian, Fantasy-TTRPG subclasses, then designed and illustrated character spot art for all 9 prompts within the month of October while following self-written project guide note:
The characters are set in a Low-Fantasy, Edwardian era belonging to various factions and occupations that influence their design.

Process (Ft. The Raven Witch)
-Research and Planning
Despite the short deadline to fully design and illustrate all the pieces, I believe researching project direction and gathering references is even more imperative to support development of each illustration within an even shorter project time frame. I allotted time to the researching phase, gathering necessary references, and writing out notes of each character's summaries to collectively establish each of the character's motifs and color palettes.
-Design Exploration and Render
The Sketching phase was limited to a rough pose and design exploration for each character. Afterwards, I refined my sketch vision through the rendering process, and edited the design as necessary.
